La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo is a fast-acting formula for the treatment and prevention of severe skin imperfections that are caused by clogged skin pores and excessive oil secretion. The product was developed by combining 4 essential ingredients with other carefully selected additives to produce a paraben free gel. The 4 essential ingredients are 5.5% Micronized Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid (helps with skin exfoliation, removes excess oils, and has antiseptic and antifungal properties), Niacinamide (prevents immuno-supression caused by UVA and UVB radiation and helps to prevent hyperpigmentation), Linoleic Acid (helps prevent skin rashes and stimulates cell regeneration), and Piroctone Olamine (anti-oxidant, increases skin resistance, while alleviating skin irritations and other inflammations). The gel cleanses the skin by eliminating the acne-causing bacteria and fungi present on the skin surface and pores. In addition, the product nourishes the skin by stimulating fast regeneration of skin cells that are resistant to common irritations and premature oxidation. Based on a research study, it was shown that La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo reduced inflammatory acne by 63% and non-inflammatory acne (blackheads and whiteheads) by 60%. The Effaclar Duo is suitable for all skin types, but ideal for acneic skin.
Instruction
After regular skin cleansing, apply a reasonable amount on entire face. Product can be used day and night. This product is non-comedogenic, making it safe to be used daily before make-up application as a treatment primer.
